First things first, food porn

The small herd of goats are from the ghetto around the corner from the apartment, possibly the slummiest dwellings I've ever seen in person, but admittedly I lead a pretty sheltered life. The goats were on our street eating weeds and anything else they could get in their mouths. The cutest one were tiny babies with their mom. She wasn't going to let me touch them with a fight so I just snapped a few pictures.

Yesterday was my second day of Mysore class. It went pretty well. Saraswati was helping with adjustments and I got one in UHP and of course in marichiansana c on the second side (because I'm rocking the first side by myself with very little fucking around to get the bind). After Mari c I went to back bends and Saraswati questioned why I didn't go on to marchi d. She said that I should do it next Mysore class ( which isn't until Monday since fri and sun are led classes and sat is no practice ). So I will see if they remember I get to do D on Monday.

Today was led practice. The more Mysore classes I do the less I like led class. Sharath counts really slow on a few things like headstand, half headstand and utpluthih, it's pure torture.

After class was a two hour breakfast in my favorite place, Ahnoki Garden. Met some new people and made some plans to go to the zoo tomorrow with Caroline from London and my flatmate Kevin.

After breakfast we were off to chanting class. I have no clue what im chanting but I enjoy it anyway. Next stop was a silver shop located in someone's house around the corner from the shala. The business is run by a sweet Indian lady who is so appreciative for the yoga students who support her business not only by buying things but also who help spread the word around about her business. I got a nice Ganesh pendant. The shop owner explained that because Ganesh is a god he should only be worn around the neck close to the heart and he is for protection.

After a rest it was time for Sanskrit class and then Gita chanting and Hatha Yoga Pradipika class. The teacher is very endearing even though he gave us homework of writing the Sanskrit alphabet on a single sheet of paper. It should look something like his chart when done properly

Yesterday I did some walking around Golukum by myself as I tried to figure out how to get money out of an ATM. In the end the problem turned out to be that none of the machines had any cash in them so once the bank filled it up I got a stack of rupees out.

Here is some stuff I saw on my walk

I'm not sure what the story is but many houses have these devil masks hanging on their homes

Also saw this cow impeding traffic by laying in the middle if the street

And finally here is a nice Ganesh on the side of a house
