So I start at the back of the room, get done with three sun salutations when Sharath comes up and says you move there, upgrade, third class to first class. He moved me to the second row which had carpet over the marble floor. I did my practice, got an UHP assist from Sharath and a Marchi C and then went to closing postures. First i did my backbends from the floor and then stood up to do dropbacks but Sharath calls across room " No, you sit down.". I was disappointed because I have been working hard on them but there is no asking for poses at the shala, just do what you are told.
After practice we went to Anohki Garden for breakfast and I had amazing crepes with caramel sauce and a fruit salad. Another girl at the table was also told no drop backs so I felt a little less bad about practice.
After eating we were off in a rickshaw to More Megastore to buy a new camera. My Visa was declined. American Express required a pin # which I don't have so I started to leave without the camera so I could go get cash back the room. K had enough cash to lend me to save the trip back to the apt. Yay K saved the day!
So on the way to shala for Sanskrit class I stopped at the ATM to get money for K and I had purchased a few items at the shala store where my visa was also declined so I owed them 2650 rupees too. The ATM wouldn't give me cash! BofA cut me off! Without a phone I can't do much about it so Joh had to make phone calls for me. Hopefully the cards will be working today or I will have to burn an eye out and start begging for money.
K has been suffering from a cold the past few days and wasn't up for going out to dinner so he had cupcakes in the room while I decided to go for dosas alone. It was already dark and Gokulum seems to become even more chaotic when the sun goes down. According to the map I was to go down the road to find doses. It was part of the road I haven't been to in the daylight and at night it was dark and desolate. I was sure. Would have been robbed, murdered and left on the road as food for stray dogs so I chickened out and went to Tina's again.
On the way back from dinner I stopped and bought some chips for 20 rupees
