Why does the cleaning lady have to be such a crazy bitch

Today was my first practice at the shala! I was so nervous I woke up at 2 am. My led class began at 6. I arrived early and waited with about 50 or 60 other students while the first group finished their practice. The room was HOT! I picked a spot towards the back of the room which I heard later is a cooler part of the room. Practice went well up until the dreaded marichiasana c pose. I quickly got I to the pose on the first side which was exciting because I usually have to fuck around a bit to get my hands to clasp. Sharath was near helping another student get into the pose. When it came time for the second side I was closer than I have ever been to clasping my hands on my own. Sharath came over and easily bound my hands. Then he whispered that I would stop here. I knew this is where I would be stopped in the practice so it wasn't a surprise or disappointment and I wasnt the first person In the group to be stopped so I was ok with it. The bad part of being stopped is while the rest of the class continues on through the series I had to just sit on my mat and wait for the closing postures which start with backbends. By the time they finished, about 15 minutes, my body had cooled off a bit and backbends were rough.

After class K and I headed to a cafe called Vivians. It is run by a Taiwanese woman named Vivian. We were joined by Becs from Adelaide Austrailia, Edwin the Dutch exroommate and Sara from Austraila. While eating I saw Chelsea Ngoh walk into the restaurant. She is a teacher from Singapore that had taught a few classes in Vegas a few months back.

After breakfast we walked to "the chocolate guy"'s store. Everyone raves about his chocolate. I found it only ok. Then we went to a store called Vastra so I could buy a shawl to cover my shoulders while in public.

A deaf mute kid with no tongue begged. For $ so I gave hi. 20 rupees.

The cleaning lady came today. She does nothing except talk on our phone. We wouldn't let her clean our rooms so she called her boss and told on us. K had to get on the phone with Jim and tell him why we wouldn't let her in our individual rooms. It was a very awkward hour. And she left the garbage for us to take out.

Dinner was at Tina's again. I had roti and vegetable kofta. I don't k ow what that is but it was insanely good and dinner cost 40 rupees (less than $1)

When we got home from dinner I watched a Gossip Girl episode that I download from iTunes. I also broke my camera by dropping it on the marble floor ;( so now I have to hope I can find a new one today.

Here are some fancy houses in Mysore
